Over 40 years later, the brand’s commitment to relentless innovation and adherence to this founding principle means that every Trek bike is built to enhance the quality of the ride and comes from a tradition of performance, durability, innovation and precision engineering.

“We are very excited to announce our partnership with the Wild Atlantic Way Cycle Sportif,” said Helen Guesford, Ireland Marketing Manager for Trek Bikes. “The Wild Atlantic Way route with its breath-taking scenery, paired with the excellent rider experience that the Wild Atlantic Way Cycle Sportif delivers makes it a bucket-list event.

Whether you want a new challenge or to clock up training miles, the Sportif is tailor-made to give you those extraordinary cycling memories that last a lifetime. And what’s more, the organisers look after everything from luggage transfers to accommodation to deliver a really top-class event designed by cyclists for cyclists. It’s the promise of a great cycling experience, which is why the Wild Atlantic Way Cycle Sportif is a great fit for Trek.”

Speaking at the announcement of the partnership Michael O’Boyle, Tour Director of the Wild Atlantic Way Cycle Sportif, said “We are particularly delighted that a global brand such as Trek Bikes has chosen the Sportif as the event they wish to partner with in the promotion of their brand and dealer network throughout the island of Ireland. This collaboration is significant on a number of levels, particularly in the promotion of Ireland as a major destination for cyclists. It will be especially beneficial for our overseas cyclists who will be able to go to our website and hire a top of the range Trek bike which will then be tailored to their own specifications before they arrive in Ireland. This will without doubt enhance their whole experience of cycling the Wild Atlantic Way.”

“We’re excited about the international exposure this collaboration with a global bike brand such as Trek Bikes will bring to the Sportif through their extensive reach into cycling networks worldwide. And this partnership is even more significant given that one of the world’s leading bike manufacturers has chosen such a new event to partner and develop with into the future.”
