Down Syndrome Ireland & Reservior Cogs CC Blessington present Lap de Gaps which will be taking place Saturday 13th May 2017. This cycle takes in the beautiful area of West Wicklow. Close to Poulaphuca Reservoir we have two cycle routes, 50km and 100km. The challenging 50km route begins in Blessington and follows a flat route to Holywood where the climbing begins. The route continues around Poulaphuca Reservoir taking in some of the breathtaking scenery of the area before returning to Blessington. The 100km route is not for the faint hearted. After a circumnavigation of Poulaphuca Reservoir the route continues over the Sally Gap and then along the Military Road past Glenmacneas Waterfall and into Laragh. After a welcome break in Laragh the route continues past Glendalough and climbs up the Wicklow Gap, then on to Hollywood and and back to Blessington.
