There will be 3 main routes beginning with a 70km beginners route. This causes some cells to die, while others are left damaged. At least 2,000 Irish people die every year as a result of stroke and more than 30,000 people are currently living with a stroke-related disability. This year our charity partner is Dundrum Arch Club. The Orwell Wheelers Randonnée is back for 2018 and this year it’s got a little brother! As has become tradition, it’s taking place Saturday 5th of May, the bank holiday weekend, with start and finish at Lansdowne / Wesley rugby club on Ballycorus road . Tour of the Heartlands

Shannonside Cycling Club are hosting their annual Tour of the Heartlands Sunday 6th May. There are 2 routes available on the day leaving from Athlone GAA Club, a 60km spin and a longer 110km spin for those looking to really test their legs.   Both routes can avail of a food stop in Dysart where cyclists can refuel before heading for home. 2018 Wicklow Mountains Cycle Challenge

Now in its’ third year, the Wicklow Mountains Cycle Challenge is an annual event organised by St James’s Hospital Foundation with all proceeds going to St James’s Hospital, Dublin. Since its beginning in 2016, the event has almost doubled in participation and has raised over €35,000 for St James’s Hospital. All of the proceeds have been used to purchase new equipment for the Physiotherapy Department.
